More Mac-like

Forms jobs Canada and been re-designed, and for the better. Below you see an invoice. There’s a lot of information along the right and left, including that client’s history (color-coded to show overdue invoices), a summary, room for notes and more. Best of all, both the left and right column can be hidden, leaving you with the invoice itself. Add multi-touch swiping and it feels like you’re simply looking at a stack of paper invoices.

Improved search

Many owners jobs Canada and (hopefully) huge numbers of invoices, clients, etc. to sort through. QuickBooks for Mac 2012 has revamped the search function to resemble an advanced search in Mac OS X. You can create the criteria you want and even save searches for future reference.

Progress invoicing

The feature that impressed me the most is progress invoicing. Now you can bill clients for a project in phases, either by percentage or by line item. Plus, the app keeps track of how much has been billed and how much remains.

Last week we saw the on a leaked Wireless Minimum Advertised (MAP) list. We don’t know anything about it other than its name must mean it will be marketed with Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. It just past DLNA certification which unfortunately gives us no more insight than what we already knew, which is basically nothing. It is at least one step closer to being launched.

Last week we saw Wireless bring back the documents for a for the . We weren’t exactly sure when the rollout would take place. ’s Liquid Mini may not be the fastest Android device available, but due to a sweet little custom remodel job, the Liquid Mini Edition sure makes it look the fastest. It’s jam-packed with all the stylish markings you could wish for: a lustrous red exterior embellished with the iconic shield, dark chrome trims and elegant buttons along with preloaded engine ringtones, racing-themed wallpaper and more. All that’s missing is a set of vanity plates and you’re dressed to impress.

The remodel includes appearance-only upgrades however, so this Gingerbread running device will keep the same 512MB of RAM, 600MHz processor, 3.2-inch display and 5 megapixel camera as offered by the original.

I can’t say I’m really a fan of the name, but is a solid puzzle app for iOS that reminds me a lot of (definitely not a bad thing). You need to match up little orbs in sets of 4 or more to make rounded-off rectangles, and then, just like in Lumines, a “beat bar” comes by to clear them off the board and earn you points.

You can grab the beat bar to “scratch” it for extra points, or use powerups as they drop to help you clear the board as well. The music is well-done (there are even some remixes in there) and ties into the gameplay very nicely, so you can listen and sort of make music as you play along.

It’s fun and fairly addictive, though things are even a little complicated — the tutorial is quite long, actually. The controls take a little getting used to as well; the balls will bounce around quite a bit, sometimes making precision moves tough to do.

Still, it’s a good game — if only that name was different. is a universal app for the iPad and that’s right now.

that it will iOS 5′s Newsstand publishing “soon after” the iOS is released this fall. The company’s Publishing works with Creative 5.5 to create publications for the , Android and RIM’s PlayBook.

Users can expect files created with ’s tools to be recognized and downloaded by Newsstand. Plus, apps built with the Digital Publishing Suite can feature push notifications and covers as icons.

Again, there’s no hard date set for release, but it sounds like Adobe wants everything ready to go soon after iOS 5 is available. Look for it then.
